Overview:
With its hotels and resorts primarily in the luxury and upscale segment of the lodging industry, SVO's AP processing was meager in comparison. While no discounts were achieved through early payment of invoices, invoices were also becoming lost in the process. If there was a problem with an invoice, the paper had to be sent back to one of the 16 resorts for problem resolution. As corporate pushed to move to a shared service model to streamline the company's purchase-to-pay operations, the success of SVO’s accounts payable processing became essential.
